![]() ![]() Other underlying issues or environmental factors may lead to the onset of an ocular migraine, such as: Causes of Ocular Migraineĭoctors and researchers are not absolutely sure what causes an ocular migraine, however, there’s evidence to suggest that they happen due to blood vessel spasms in the retina. Some people may experience an ocular migraine ahead of a full-on migraine headache. As with regular migraine headaches, you can also feel nauseous, vomit, and be light sensitive. That vision loss may be accompanied by moderate-to-severe pain and a throbbing or pulsating sensation in your eye that could get worse with movement. The main symptom of an ocular migraine is that your vision will be affected in one of your eyes for about an hour or less. (However, there is a condition called visual migraines that does affect both eyes.) Symptoms of Ocular Migraine ![]() Similar to migraine headaches, ocular migraines only happen on one side of the head and don’t affect both eyes. The light or waviness starts either peripherally and moves centrally, or the opposite.” Cheryl Roell describes them this way, “Most ocular migraines don’t cause total vision loss in one eye but rather a pulsing light or kaleidoscope-type of effect. They cause a temporary vision obstruction, usually lasting for less than an hour.ĭr. But ocular migraines are something different. That can happen, for example, when we’re out in the sun for long periods of time without sunglasses or staring at our digital devices for hours at a time without a break. Sometimes our eyes get sore, and they ache. ![]()

Opus one cab 20128/8/2023 ![]() ![]() Opus One is a single wine, a Bordeaux Blend sourced from the estate vineyards in Oakville, which include blocks of the famous To Kalon vineyard. Opus One's brand grew considerably in the 1990s, particularly in markets outside of the United States, and in 2005, when Robert Mondavi Winery was acquired by Constellation Brands, Opus One also became part-owned by the multi-national company. ![]() It was released to the public in 1984, but had already attracted attention, as a single case of the wine had sold for $24,000 at the first Napa Valley Wine Auction in 1981. The collaboration was conceived in the 1970s and then first realised in 1979, when the first vintage of Opus One was created. It continues to be one of the most expensive Cabernet Sauvignon-dominant wines produced in Napa Valley. It was the first premium California wine sold in Europe. ![]() Crane Vineyard under the el Coco label and the GB Crane label.Opus One is one of the world's most famous wines, and is a partnership of two of the most respected figures from Bordeaux and Napa Valley, Baron Philippe de Rothschild of Château Mouton Rothschild and Robert Mondavi. Since that first year wines were made from our G.B. Hours earlier they had signed the paperwork to buy the vineyard and it was just in the nick of time.they picked the grapes the next morning. The vineyard was planted by George Beldon Crane in the late nineteenth century and is one of the icons of the Napa Valley. Sandoli) stood in the middle of a block of hundred year old Zinfandel. In August of 2012, four friends (Dave Phinney, Darryl Browman, Kevin A. Full-bodied, rich, opulent and oh-so-spicy, it fills the palate with decadent fruit and a plush texture, finishing with a lively lift."įrom the new winery The Crane Assembly, the Disciples Red has quite a back story. Previous vintage 93 Points Robert Parker: "A blend of 76% Zinfandel, 13% Charbono, 6% Grenache and 5% Petite Sirah, the Disciples Red is medium to deep garnet-purple in color with gorgeous notions of hoisin, Black Forest cake, prunes and potpourri with hints of black pepper, unsmoked cigars and cloves. The sixth vintage of Dave Phinney's Disciples Red under the Crane Assembly label, the 2019 has arrived. Your wishlist has been temporarily saved. 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Petit Verdot, 5% Cabernet Franc, 5% Merlot and 1% Malbec. The fine-grained, plush tannins evolve into a long, supple finish. This seductive wine shows flavors of black cassis, black cheerry and a hint of cocoa powder. The juicy entry offers a round, silky mouthfeel with just enought acidity to complement the satin texture. The Opus One 2019 offers a harmonious aromatic balance of rich dark fruit, stems of roses and earthy forest floor. The blend is 78% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Merlot, and the rest Petit Verdot." It's another beautiful wine from this team. I don't think it has the same precision as the 2018, but it brings another level of hedonism. Beautiful black raspberry, cassis, toasted spice, lead pencil, and subtle oak all make an appearance, and it's medium to full-bodied, with a rounded, layered mouthfeel, impressive tannins, and a great finish. Try after 2028."ĩ8 Points Jeb Dunnuck: "Similarly ruby/purple-hued, the 2019 Opus One is cut from the same cloth as the 2018 yet has a touch more baby fat and opulence, at least as this stage. A blend of 78% cabernet sauvignon, 8% merlot, 7% petit verdot, 6% cabernet franc and 1% malbec. Fantastic length and structure to the wine, with tightness and focus. Tasted as a barrel sample, this is a truly magnificent Opus One in the making!"ĩ9 Points James Suckling: "The purity of fruit is really something else here, with currants and fresh flowers, such as violets and roses. Full-bodied, the palate is jam-packed with juicy black, blue and red fruits, framed by velvety tannins and background freshness, finishing on a compelling earthy/mineral note. This year, with the 2019s, he was still tweaking the blend, but he did mention that this is "pretty close to the final blend." Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2019 Opus One leaps from the glass with notes of Black Forest cake, Morello cherries, mulberries and fresh blackcurrants plus hints of licorice, wilted roses, Sichuan pepper and iron ore. Limited.ĩ9 Points Robert Parker: "Winemaker Michael Silacci commented that usually the blends are finished in January or February after the vintage. ![]()

Best dimsum in chicago chinatown8/8/2023 ![]() ![]() While my grandmother is no longer strong enough to cook, I see her culinary spirit through these doors, welcoming me in, tossing the woks, placing the dishes-asking me what I'd like to eat. ![]() ![]() Typically the business operates for a year and pays its annual property taxes at the end of that year. Property taxes are paid to the county in which a business operates and are levied on real estate and other assets a business owns. Wages Payable has a zero balance on 7/3 since nothing is owed to employees for the week now that they have been paid the $1,000 in cash. The $1,000 wages for the week beginning June 29th is split over two months in the Wages Expense accounts: $400 in June, and $600 in July. Here are the Wages Payable and Wages Expense ledgers AFTER the closing entry (not shown) and the 7/3 entry have been posted. ▼ Cash is an asset account that is decreasing. ▼ Wages Payable is a liability account that is decreasing. The total stockholders’ equity amount on the balance sheet would be too high because a net income amount that was too high would have been closed out to Retained Earnings. The total liabilities amount on the balance sheet would have been too low because Wages Payable, one liability, was too low.The Wages Payable amount on the balance sheet would have been too low ($0 instead of $400).Net income on the income statement would have been too high (An additional $400 of Wages Expense should have been deducted from revenues but was not). The Wages Expense amount on the income statement would have been too low ($4,000 instead of $4,400).Ģ.IMPORTANT: If this journal entry had been omitted, many errors on the financial statements would result. Wages Payable was credited and will appear on the balance sheet to show that this $400 is owed to employees for unpaid work in June. To add this additional amount so it appears on the June income statement, Wages Expense was debited. For the two additional work days in June, the 29th and 30th, the company accrued $400 additional in Wages Expense. The company had already accumulated $4,000 in Wages Expense during June - $1,000 for each of four weeks. The adjusting entry is journalized and posted BEFORE financial statements areprepared so that the company’s income statement and balance sheet show the correct, up-to-date amounts. The adjusting entry for an accrued expense updates the Wages Expense and Wages Payable balances so they are accurate at the end of the month. Here are the Wages Payable and Wages Expense ledgers AFTER the adjusting entry has been posted. Wages Expense is debited on 6/30, but Cash cannot be credited since 6/30 is a Tuesday and employees will not be paid until Friday. This entry splits the wages expense for that week: two days belong in June, and the other three days belong in July. Therefore, for this week, $400 of the $1,000 for the week should be a June expense and the other $600 should be a July expense.Īn adjusting entry is required on June 30 so that the wages expense incurred on June 29 and June 30 appears on the June income statement. Employees earn $1,000 per week, or $200 per day. The Friday after, when the company will pay employees next, is July 3. ![]() ![]() ▲ Interest Payable is a liability account that is increasing.Īn expense is a cost of doing business, and it cost $4,000 in wages this month to run the business.Īdjusting journal entry: Assume that June 30, the last day of the month, is a Tuesday. ▲ Interest Expense is an expense account that is increasing. ▲ Taxes Payable is a liability account that is increasing. ▲ Taxes Expense is an expense account that is increasing. ▲ Wages Payable is a liability account that is increasing. ▲ Wages Expense is an expense account that is increasing. These are the three adjusting entries for accrued expenses we will cover. You credit an appropriate payable, or liability account, to indicate on your balance sheet that you owe this amount. For the adjusting entry, you debit the appropriate expense account for the amount you owe through the end of the accounting period so this expense appears on your income statement. However, if the end of an accounting period arrives before you record any of these growing expenses, you will make an adjusting entry to include the part of the expense that belongs in that period and on that period’s financial statements. This may occur with employee wages, property taxes, and interest-what you owe is growing over time, but you typically don’t record a journal entry until you incur the full expense. The transaction is in progress, and the expense is building up (like a “tab”), but nothing has been written down yet. In this case someone is already performing a service for you but you have not paid them or recorded any journal entry yet. \)Īccrued expenses require adjusting entries. ![]()

Lightning in a bottle 2022 death8/7/2023 ![]() ![]() The annual festival has taken over the Central Valley in California since its inaugural event over a decade ago. Next year is bound to be an extra special event as it is LIB’s 20 year anniversary.Enjoy your favorite acts all weekend long when you purchase Lightning in a Bottle tickets online today. Connect with The Do Lab at any of the links below! And be sure to scope out 2023 pre-sale tickets. If you have any interest in art, enlightenment, yoga, meditation, or music, this is an absolute must-see for you. Lightning in a Bottle is truly one of the wildest experiences available in the electronic scene. And if that wasn’t enough, there was also a no-shoes tea tent that transported you to the Middle East with a live violinist and, you guessed it, tea. ![]() Some of these “shops” included, a VHS-only store (with a hidden back entrance that led to a drive in movie theatre), a mail room with actual type writers, a varsity sports tailor with a secret back entrance leading to 90s Prom (with real chaperones and bleachers.) They also had a MCM, full service travel agency and a space called “The Mixed-Tape” where you could play with a first edition Mac & play some old punk cassettes. On top of that, there is a roller rink in the middle of the venue with a DJ jamming out all night long – it was even free to partake! This year they rolled with a 90’s theme and had a strip of shops with actors & actresses providing a wild ride for anyone who dare enter. One of their main novelty experiences involves stages that are on actual, moving cars. The Do Lab has deep roots in providing unique experiences. Overall, these panels & experiences were genuinely mind-opening and unique.Ī post shared by LIGHTCODE & Experiences Immediately following, there was a panel on How to Say No to Cops, led by an attorney. First, Healing the Polarization Divide dove into social dynamics in an incredibly divided political society and ways in which to combat this with meaningful discussion. To top it all off, there were two amazing panels later that day. Just take a look at the picture below to see how massive of an event it truly was. Sunday morning kicked off with LSDREAM’s Light Code sound healing & meditation experience. Saturday alone had twerkshops, jedi mind tricks, sound healing & so much more. There were so many classes to choose from that it was impossible to experience it all. Saturday morning, we went out to Awaken Vinyasa Flow where dozens of people met to form community bright & early. Sadly Miss Jhené Aiko had to pull out of her set last minute, but she was on the books. While the Beacon was a place of education, enlightenment, and movement every morning at night, it turns into a dance party. Turns out, that was just the beginning of what I would experience there. This was a truly valuable lesson for attendees to learn, as yoga had such an immense presence at LIB. On Friday afternoon, a group of lovely ladies presented a panel on Decolonizing Yoga at the Beacon. We even stumbled upon a few talks that absolutely captivated us as much as the music. ![]() Throughout the weekend, there are dozens of lectures and panels that are truly eye-opening. This day was full of wubs at every stage. If you thought Friday was wild, buckle up for Saturday. To top the night off, Glass Animals closed out with all of the fan favorites.
